Justification For All That Facebook Time: Glassdoor just ranked Facebook as the best place to work in the United States for 2018. Glassdoor’s annual ranking is based entirely on employee reviews. Employees cited, among other things, strong leadership and room for growth, as company perks.
GrocerKey Reveals New Targeting Software: GrocerKey, an online grocery shopping app based in Madison, has unveiled new software that will enable grocery stores to promote specific products and brands to app users. GrocerKey manages online ordering for hundreds of stores, including the Woodman’s chain.
Report Suggests Government Intervention To Diversify Tech Sector: “Not only is (the technology sector) made up overwhelmingly of white men, but the percentage of tech workers who are black decreased in recent years, while the portion of women in the industry was stagnant and the level of Hispanic workers was nearly flat,” the Washington Post reports. Federal agencies can help diversify the industry, according to a new study from the Government Accountability Office.
Bad News for Wisconsin’s Middle Class: Wisconsin had the biggest drop in the percentage of households considered middle class from 2000 to 2013, according to a new Pew Charitable Trusts study. Median household income in the Badger State also declined 14 percent in that time frame.
