Here’s a list of entrepreneurship events and festivities in Wisconsin, where efforts to boost entrepreneurship are taking off.

These are annual events. So if you can’t make one this year, look out for them again in 2019.

StartUp Weekend (Check local events): From start-up idea to design to presentation before professionals, all in one weekend. Madison holds a start-up weekend in April. But other cities also hold start-up weekend events. Statewide.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Week (March): Ward4 cheers on women entrepreneurs with a series of events and opportunities, including presentations, socializing and free access to co-working space. Milwaukee.

Women’s Business Conference (May 22, 2018): This one-day conference at UW-Eau Claire includes 20 roundtables. Plus, there are opportunities to get one-on-one counseling regarding specific business questions. Eau Claire.


Wisconsin Entrepreneurs Conference (June 5-6, 2018): The theme of this year’s two-day conference is “Launch, Grow and Succeed.” Networking, panels and awards presentations. Madison.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2017

Forward Festival: (Aug. 16-23, 2018): Billed as Wisconsin’s “largest technology and entrepreneurship festival”, this is an eight-day extravaganza of networking, panels, pitching and competition. Madison.


StartUp Week (Nov. 5-11, 2018): The state’s ultimate celebration of start-ups, this week-long event includes activities in 10 cities throughout Wisconsin. Cheers. Statewide.

Women’s Entrepreneurship Day (Nov. 19, 2018): This is a new entry to the Badger State’s entrepreneurial world. Organizers held the inaugural Women’s Entrepreneurship Day in Wisconsin last year. The conference includes presentations and panels, with plenty of opportunity to network with other women entrepreneurs. Madison.
